When will we know what team our daughter(s) play on?
Teams will be posted on the website by April 1st for Spring/Summer ball and Aug 1st for Fall Ball (pending final approval of coaching staff).
We understand that often different activities may overlap occasionally. Please keep your coach informed. If a reasonable commitment cannot be made, please reconsider your daughters involvement in softball as it is a team sport and everyone is expected to participate equally.
As a rule, we do our best to accommodate requests. HOWEVER, teams are arranged based on multiple criteria including years experience, positions played, etc. and there is a limit of 4 special requests per team. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES so don't get upset. Volunteers daughters may be given priority placement. Team placement is on a first come - first serve basis.

Most of our games are played on our home fields.
During practice season, there are normally two (2) practices a week. During Regulation SPRING/SUMMER Season, there are usually two (2) games a week and rarely any practices but this is up to the coach. During Fall Ball Season, games are on weekends. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and practices/games do need to be rescheduled based on field availability.
FOR SPRING/SUMMER, All weekday games are at 6:00 pm. Saturday games are at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:00 pm and/or 4:00pm. FOR FALL BALL, all games are at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm on Saturdays/Sundays. 8U plays on Mondays, and/or Wednesdays and/or Saturdays and for FALL BALL, Saturdays/Sundays only. 10U plays on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and/or Saturdays and for FALL BALL, Saturdays/Sundays only. 12U plays on Mondays and/or Wednesdays and/or Saturdays and for FALL BALL, Saturdays/Sundays only. 14U plays on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and/or Saturdays and for FALL BALL, Saturdays/Sundays only. HS plays on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and/or Saturdays and for FALL BALL, Saturdays/Sundays only.
8U, 10U and HS wear black pants and are available at the concession stand at Verhaeghe Field and on-line. 12U and 14U are required to wear black shorts which are also available at the concession stand at Verhaeghe Field and on-line and we recommend compression shorts (to ease "road rashes" from sliding) and a sliding pad which is worn on the bent leg during a slide. This also helps prevent road rashes. Both are available at the same events and places as above.
WGFSL provide the jersey for every player along with game umpires, game balls, field prep and material, full equipment bags for every team, concessions, and more.
All additional apparel or items can be purchased at the concession stand at Verhaeghe Field and on-line at www.wascofastpitch.com. We recommend trying on the apparel prior to purchasing the item(s) however, if an exchange is needed, the unused, unwashed item(s) may be exchanged at the concession stand at Verhaeghe Field.

Please register your daughter with the correct age as well as the grade she would normally be in. Once registered, please contact the league and we will make a determination where she should play based on her unique circumstances.
